Lytning System overview
Use this page when you are new to Lyt-ning or want a one-page map of the parts of the system and which app to open for the task in front of you.
Goal
You need to understand what Lyt-ning is, what each app is for, and which app to open for the task at hand.
Where this happens
Lyt-ning runs as a small group of web apps that talk to each other. From a store staff's day-to-day perspective, you touch the till apps at the counter, the Core App (back office) for admin and reports, and the Lytning Analytics app for deeper reports.
- In the back office (Core App): open
https://lytning-core.pages.dev/(or your store URL) and sign in with your user name and password. - At the till: sign in with your PIN on the till app that matches your store type (Retail, Restaurant, or Pharmacy).
- In the Lytning Analytics app: opens in a new browser tab from the Core App's Reports & Analytics sidebar group with single-sign-on — you do not open it directly.

Steps
1. What Lyt-ning is
Lyt-ning is a complete store operations platform: till, back office, reports, and integrations. It is used by franchises operating in retail, hospitality, pharmacy, and fresh-food segments.
2. The parts of Lyt-ning
- Core App (back office) — the web app your supervisors and franchise admins use for stock, customers, finance, and setup. Open the Core App overview.
- Lytning Analytics app (reports) — the deeper reports app that opens in a new tab from the Core App. Open the per-report wiki.
- Retail POS till app — the till for retail stores on the Standard Flagship app.
- Restaurant POS till app — the till for restaurant stores on the Standard Flagship app.
- Ultra Retail POS till app — the newer till for retail stores.
- Ultra Restaurant POS till app — the newer till for restaurant stores.
- Ultra Pharmacy POS till app — the till for pharmacy stores (newest).
3. How the parts fit together
At the counter, the till app records the sale. At the back office, the Core App reviews the day's totals and configures the store. For deeper reports (sales by cashier, expense breakdowns, multi-store comparison), the Lytning Analytics app opens in a new tab from the Core App with single-sign-on.
4. Which app should I open?
